Anschütz introduces AUTONOMICS CGA for collision and grounding avoidance

Anschütz has introduced AUTONOMICS CGA (Collision and Grounding Avoidance), a new navigational decision-support system presented at SMM 2026. Next, it moves into a validation phase with selected customers.

AUTONOMICS CGA combines radar, AIS, electronic charts and AI-supported EO/IR sensors into one real-time picture of the vessel’s surroundings. It assesses encounter situations according to COLREG, calculates safe manoeuvring areas and proposes avoidance trajectories for course and speed – taking shallow waters and other charted hazards into account.

For heading-only manoeuvres, the selected action can be passed directly to an Anschütz autopilot. The navigator stays fully informed and in control at all times.
